Fuzzy decision making of profit function in production planning using S-curve membership function
نویسنده
چکیده
Any modern industrial manufacturing unit inevitably faces problems of vagueness in various aspects such as raw material availability, human resource availability, processing capability and constraints and limitations imposed by marketing department. Such a complex problem of vagueness and uncertainty can be handled by the theory of fuzzy linear programming. In this paper, a new fuzzy linear programming based methodology using a modified S-curve membership function is used to solve fuzzy mix product selection problem in Industrial Engineering. Profits and satisfactory level have been computed using fuzzy programming approach. Since there are several decisions to be taken, a performance measure has been defined to identify the decision for high level of profit with high degree of satisfaction. 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Exponential membership function and duality gaps for I-fuzzy linear programming problems
Fuzziness is ever presented in real life decision making problems. In this paper, we adapt the pessimistic approach tostudy a pair of linear primal-dual problem under intuitionistic fuzzy (I-fuzzy) environment and prove certain dualityresults. We generate the duality results using exponential membership and non-membership functions to represent thedecision maker’s satisfaction and dissatisfacti...

This work applies fuzzy sets to the integration of purchasing, manufacturing and assembling of production planning decisions with multiple suppliers, multiple components and multiple machines in remanufacturing systems. The developed fuzzy multi-objective linear programming model (FMOLP) simultaneously minimizes total costs, total $text{CO}_2$ emissions and total lead time with reference to cus...
متن کاملA Multi-optimization Approach to Fair Profit Distribution Problem for a Supply Chain Network
The fair profit distribution problem of a typical supply chain network involving batch production is considered in this article. To implement this concept, we construct a multi-product batch production combined with multi-stage distribution planning model to achieve multiple objectives such as maximizing the customer service level, maximizing the profit of each participant company of the supply...
متن کاملArithmetic Aggregation Operators for Interval-valued Intuitionistic Linguistic Variables and Application to Multi-attribute Group Decision Making
The intuitionistic linguistic set (ILS) is an extension of linguisitc variable. To overcome the drawback of using single real number to represent membership degree and non-membership degree for ILS, the concept of interval-valued intuitionistic linguistic set (IVILS) is introduced through representing the membership degree and non-membership degree with intervals for ILS in this paper. The oper...
متن کاملFUZZY GOAL PROGRAMMING TECHNIQUE TO SOLVE MULTIOBJECTIVE TRANSPORTATION PROBLEMS WITH SOME NON-LINEAR MEMBERSHIP FUNCTIONS
The linear multiobjective transportation problem is a special type of vector minimum problem in which constraints are all equality type and the objectives are conicting in nature. This paper presents an application of fuzzy goal programming to the linear multiobjective transportation problem. In this paper, we use a special type of nonlinear (hyperbolic and exponential) membership functions to ...
